Genetic Risk Factor Discovered in People with African Descent

Data from BLAAC PD and other studies helped find a gene change in some people with Parkinson's disease. This change in the GBA1 gene was found in people of African descent. This finding could help steer new treatments for disease. Read more on what this finding might mean for you.
